Recently, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brea-Placentia-Yorba Linda hosted its second annual community fair. The event was a fun-filled day for local youth and their families, including bounce houses, tournaments, entertainment and other activities. The community fair took place at the organization’s Brea clubhouse.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Brea-Placentia-Yorba Linda also runs programs at several schools in the Placentia and Yorba Linda areas. One of their focuses has been on improving their transportation program, which requires passenger vans to transport students to after school programs from five campuses in Yorba Linda. The after school programs take place at Bernardo Yorba and Yorba Linda middle schools. Additionally, children from eight schools in Placentia and Brea participate in an after school program at the Brea clubhouse. There are five school-based programs at schools around Placentia.
Yorba Linda home owners can help out by donating needed items to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brea-Placentia-Yorba Linda. There is a list available online of items they are always in need of, including arts and crafts materials, cleaning products, athletic equipment, board games, office supplies, kitchen items, first aid equipment, and more.
