Limited tickets are still available for the Train Station BBQ.
`The Fullerton College Foundation is partnering with SCRPA Southern California Railway Plaza Association to bring Train Station BBQ at the Fullerton Train Station Friday and Saturday May 3rd and 4th. The event is in conjunction with Railroad Days that include private tours of the trains and a delicious BBQ dinner provided by Brian’s BBQ of Fullerton.
Each evening there will be a silent auction that will have many gift-certificates from local businesses including Chomp Fullerton, Farrells Ice Cream Parlor, Mulberry Street Ristorante, The Richard Nixon Library, Rock City Rock Climbing, Segway OC, The Summit House Restaurant, and Disney memorabilia and Disneyland park-hopper tickets.
Each evening’s event will feature three separate train tours. One starting at 5PM and continuing at 6PM and 7PM. The Foundation is limiting the number of tickets available for each evening in order to ensure that the guests will have ample time to enjoy dinner and view the trains including the seven car Amtrak Museum train and Disney’s recently refurbished, newly painted locomotive #4, the Ernest Marsh.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support the various scholarship programs of the Foundation. The Foundation has for fifty-three years provided scholarships and program support to Fullerton College and its students. This year the Foundation is planning on awarding over $250,000 in scholarships and grants. Through the years the Foundation has helped over ten thousand students with over $3,000,000 in scholarships and grants.
Tickets are $50 each and include dinner, silent auction, and special viewing of SCRPA’s Railroad Days event. Proceeds support Fullerton College Foundation’s scholarship program. Call the foundation at 714-525-5651 or email info@foundationfc.com.
