Yorba Linda Honors Its Service Members

The City of Yorba Linda has a long history of honoring those who have served their country, including those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The City of Yorba Linda Military Recognition Program extends our citizens’ appreciation for the dedication and duty these brave men and women have exhibited in a variety of acknowledgments. The honorees must either be living in a Yorba Linda home or have an immediate family member living here.

The program includes both an official designation with a Certificate of Recognition followed by a televised listing of their name and service information on City Channel 3. The intent is to disseminate this recognition as completely throughout the city and surrounding region as possible. There is also an option to purchase a U.S.-flag emblazoned banner of the designation. But the city does not stop there: four other acknowledgement programs are underway in Yorba Way: the Veterans Memorial “Bricks” at Veterans Park, the Wall of Recognition, the Adopt a Military Unit Information and the Flag Box. You can read more details about each here.

These programs are a small way for our residents to pay due respect to our fellow citizens who have gone above and beyond in the service to their country. It also represents the communal spirit so evident in Yorba Linda and its environs. We’ve long experienced the pride that residents here take in each other and in their neighborhoods. This type of civic duty and pride is why we celebrate Yorba Linda as a wonderful place to call home.

If you are looking for a new Yorba Linda home or a viable relocation and this type of positive community spirit is important to you, give me a call today so that I can help you begin the search.
