Permanent Residential Water Installation
Follow the steps below to obtain a residential water meter in the City of Anaheim. To ensure a quick application process, have the following information ready: the property address of where the meter will be located, the size of the meter you are requesting, the location on the property where you would like the meter installed, and what the meter will be used for (domestic, irrigation, and/or fire protection).

Step 1: Apply for Service
First, visit Customer Service or call 714-765-3300. A Customer Service Representative will complete a water meter application and calculate your associated fees. A utilities account will also be created so that you receive water service after your meter is installed.
Step 2: Pay Fees
The service representative can process payments made by check, credit card or debit card. (If paying by cash, take your application to the Cashier, also on the 1st Floor of Anaheim West Tower.) A service crew will be scheduled to install your meter at the earliest available date (expect to wait approximately 2-3 weeks). If you have any questions about the status of your water meter installation, please contact Customer Service.
